Brought into AEW as reinforcement by Kenny Omega, Ibushi helped his Golden Lovers tag team partner by contributing to big wins at Blood & Guts in 2023 and the Lights Out Steel Cage Match that headlined AEW x New Japan Forbidden Door in 2025. A decorated champion in two Japanese wrestling promotions (New Japan and DDT), Ibushi is now on the mend from a major leg injury suffered in October 2025 against Josh Alexander.
