No AEW wrestler is more aptly named than Hechicero, whose name translates to “sorcerer” in English. Hechicero is truly a wizard in the ring with his technical prowess and ability to create new moves, which led to his “alchemist” moniker. Hechicero’s magic was on full display in 2026 when he beat Claudio Castagnoli for the CMLL World Heavyweight Title at Arena México and then again later in the year at the same “Cathedral of Lucha Libre” to win the 2026 Grand Prix International 2026 championship for Team Mexico.
